Mercy Sogo Care Services recognizes and honors that we live and work on Treaty 6 Territory, a historic meeting place for many Indigenous peoples, including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and others. We are grateful for their lasting connection to this land and for the vibrant cultures that continue to enrich our community today.
We honor and recognize the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples whose ancestors have walked this land for generations caring for it, preserving its spirit, and sharing its gifts. We extend our deep gratitude to the Elders and Traditional Knowledge Keepers, both past and present, whose wisdom and teachings continue to guide and inspire us.
At Mercy Sogo Care Services, we understand that acknowledging the land is more than a statement, it is a living act of reconciliation, respect, and partnership. We are committed to learning from Indigenous communities, building meaningful relationships, and upholding the spirit and intent of Treaty 6 through compassion, understanding, and shared responsibility.
Together, we walk forward in the spirit of healing, unity, and hope for future generations.
